The Cory Volunteer Fire Department and the Cory Community will be presenting the 54th Annual Cory Apple Festival, September 22, 23, 24, 2023. Featured meals at the Firehouse include Fireman’s Breakfast, Jonah Fish Fry and Chicken Noodle Dinner. Stop by the festival office trailer and purchase tickets for the Fire Department Raffle to be held Sunday after the parade. Items will be available to view at the trailer.
There will be Dine-in and Carry-out available for the Fireman’s breakfast on Friday and Saturday morning. We will also be offering Dine-in and Carry-out for our Jonah Fish Fry and Chicken Noodle Dinners.
During the weekend there will be a Cornhole Tournament, Bingo, Car and Motorcycle Show, Jeep Show and live music. All around town you will find plenty of Crafts, Flea Markets, Antiques, Yard Sales and Food Booths.
Sign the little ones up for the Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull on Saturday. Also on Saturday visit the annual Car and Motorcycle Show. The show will run from 11am to 3pm. Judging will end at 1pm and Awards presented at 3pm. There will be cash drawings held every half hour and DJ music all afternoon. Pre-registration is $10 due by Sept. 15. All pre-registers will receive a t-shirt, dash plaque and be entered into a drawing for a free entry for next year’s show. Registration will be $12 the day of the show. The third annual Cruising out Childhood Cancer in Cory will be Sunday, September 24th on the grounds of the Cory Apple Festival in Cory, Indiana. This years event will include a corn hole tournament , Santa’s Little Jeepers will be setting up a bounce house and the traditional parade and scavenger will be happening again! All funds will go towards Childhood Cancer research in honor of our son and his 4 year battle

The parade will be held on Sunday at 3:00pm.

A little extra help is always useful when it comes to community dinners. Anyone with some extra time to lend a hand with serving, preparing and clean-up for the Fish Fry or Chicken Noodle Dinner. Also, we would like to call upon all the fine bakers in the area that would be willing to donate pies to be sold along with the meals during the weekend.
For anyone unfamiliar with the area, Cory is located southeast of Terre Haute on State Road 46. There are also ATM machines in Riley, Clay City and 46 & 59 Junction.
